アメリカの出版の最大手のひとつ、HarperCollinsの児童書部門のブログに載っていた11のコツ。
なかでも、目を引いたのが7つ目のコツ。
「Use Voices and Expression（いろいろな声と表現を使う)」とある。
リードアラウドがモットーにしていることでもある。

7. Use Voices and Expression
Being expressive and using different voices when reading a book to your young one can make them better enjoy the story. The website for the State of New Jersey says that using different voices while you read to your child
（声を変えると、次のような効果がある）
“makes it easier for them to follow the story
（筋をつかませやすい）
and it holds their attention for a longer period of time”
（飽きさせない）
and that exhibiting expression as your read
（感じを出して読んであげると）
will “show them that you are really enjoying what you are doing together.”
（大人も一緒になって楽しんでいることを示せる）
